Conifers and seeds of birds And all those things that I must learn All those things I don’t know And all those years I cannot show You have the face of a doll The body of a heron I am blue against the rocks I cannot go on carin’ The wind's so cold tonight My face is frozen immobile I’ve lost my fire I am reflected light I am reflected I am fractured I am refracted Like those too early born I have no skin My eyes are filmy I am unfilled I am empty Conifers and seeds of birds And all those things that I must learn All those things I don’t know And all those years I And all those things I don’t know And all those years…

Can’t you see my cells are different Even my atoms are love resistant Not gonna die or need you Not gonna cry or be unhappy When you’re gone Streets are powdered My head is dusty I’m all covered in words I’m used up, I’m old, I’m rusty CHORUS When it’s raining outside You eat your lunch in the shed Eating your lunch alone All you can think of is what she said Nothing you can say Won’t make you a coward I’ve turned my back Please child, be on your way It’s so cold I can’t feel nothing Don’t worry me Who said this means I am broken CHORUS All you can think of and All you want All you remember And all you lost I’m whirring like a heat machine I’m blowing hot air Oh yes oh yes oh yes oh yes I’m a tropical breeze Can’t you see my cells are different Even my atoms are love resistant Not gonna die or need you Not gonna cry or be unhappy When you’re gone

Heavy vibrations in the city tonight Sirens gave me quite a fright I can’t forget your face I can’t forget what you said Your words are flying around my head Like a flag like a flag like a flag Like a window pane You move through life like a minx You have no tail, you can’t hang from things But you can hide You always were so sly The girl she wears her skirt when it’s raining She wears her boots when it’s dry She holds her head like a statue Like a water jug up in the sky Just make sure she don’t pour it on you It’s enough to douse the hottest fire But if you'd hang on tight to her, you know She’ll take you so much higher than he could You know because his legs are too short And his pants are too long If you’d used your eyes properly You’d’ve seen his arms aren’t that strong You know what he’s got You know what he was You know what he’ll always be He’s a liar, a liar, a liar Heavy vibrations in the city tonight Sirens gave me quite a fright I can’t forget your face I can’t forget what you said

Wolf Child 03:41
Today is the villain’s last gasp I can’t wait to rid you of Your ghosts and demons at last Atop a hillock in full moon light Dancing with delight Ripping wolfsbane from the earth Laughing up at the sky with mirth CHORUS Oh wolfchild Don’t leave me alone Take me with you Wherever you may roam Conquered fears, a garlic necklace Hide that monkey mask, it makes me feel reckless Oh why must I be tormented Will nothing be cemented An empty summer’s afternoon Turned upside down by coffee and you Beer for dessert and conversation Street necking and whimsical pondering CHORUS Figs and cheese in a Persian cave Underground dark lit you act like a knave I just laugh and toss my dark hair ‘Cause I know your heart is fair Later near the bluffs Hang glider heaven Dipped a toe in that murky ocean Poled the boat, no help from Charon CHORUS INTERLUDE So began my descent I felt I was buoyed and floating I believed you were Godly sent On the beach licked by cold salt water My Drift wood tightrope soldier Lying on wind rough rocks We’d have lovely brooding daughters * * * Late that night we’re tucked away Bumming smoke and flame Watching drunk fools laugh Wish I could forget and just stumble off Today is the villain’s last gasp I can’t wait to rid you of your Ghosts and demons Your ghosts and demons At last

Look Away 03:33
Funny thing happens with the ones that look like you Those I pass in the street Logic says I should look away Those are the eyes I’m tryna meet When I see kids with their backpacks it reminds me of those days Of classes, rabbits and grasses Those little lies we used to say Don’t worry baby, I’m not going anywhere, you know I’ll stay You’ll never have to miss me Cause you know I’ll stay It’s going on spring now, not fall Another winter survived I feel cold ‘cause I miss you Make no mistake, I’m much more than alive Trouble is, a break up’s like a death Someone you loved that you can no longer see We should hold a service And set each other free Are you free? Fog’s so thick today, I can’t see the lake I wanna float on the grey I gotta be alone, I’m turning monastic You took from me all you could take Turns out I’m not cut out for the tv crews, the make up, the lights, the interviews And the painted woman with the microphone makes me want to Run run run All the way home Maybe I should get a backpack and some sneakers Play my mix tapes on some stereo speakers I ask you, where does the time go Where does it go / go go go / Where does it go Funny thing happens with the ones that look like you Logic says I should look away Look away...
